Hello everyone! I’m back, and I’m going to tell you about some last minute Halloween decorations and treats.

First off, the picture at the top of this article is of a fun decoration you make from a water jug using a black sharpie marker and some lights. I plan to make this fun creation, and I urge you to make one as well.

Another fun creation has to deal with food. So moms, get your frying pans and oven mitts out because this is a good one. The picture to the left is of these treats called Witch cupcakes. They are basically cupcakes with an ice cream cone on their heads, a gummy for a nose, M&M’s for eyes, and icing for hair and mouth.

In case you were wondering, for Halloween I am going to be a ghillie sniper. If you don’t play video games like me, a ghillie sniper is one of those army guys that have those grass suits. They lay in the grass, camouflaged, hidden from all enemies.

Have you noticed the signs of spring lately? Did you know that snow is melting fast, birds are chirping, and flowers are budding?

Spring officially starts March 20th, but there are many things taking place. Temperatures have risen up to 60o. This is causing all the snow to melt. The daffodils in my yard are sprouting! Now the birds are returning and the geese are flying north. The birds seem much happier now that the sun is bright.

Have you noticed that it is staying much brighter out in the evenings? Maybe next the trees will get their leaves back!

Spring is right around the corner it will be here in a flash!

You no doubt have trouble coaxing your little girl to clean her plate of her Brussels sprouts. And you probably have difficulty separating her from her cell phone. But you won’t have any problem at all getting her into the gorgeous designer apparel offered by Tea Collection. Unwrap this fun, fashion girls clothing before her very eyes, and she’ll throw her arms around you and declare you the best parent ever … at least until the next time that you attempt to pry that cell phone away!

The works of Pablo Picasso and other notable artists of Barcelona have inspired the newest gallery of clothing unveiled by this San Francisco-based company. Spanning the full spectrum of dresses, skirts, skorts, shorts, tops, leggings, jeans, pajamas, shoes, and accessories, the patterns and colors are cheerful and unique, reminiscent of the Expressionists and other artists of Spain. With fabrics and designs that transition easily from winter into spring, the clothing embraces a little girl’s creativity, wonder, and whimsy while avoiding the oh-so predictable pink and lace. Thus clad, who knows what works of art your little one may be moved to splash across her canvas?

The quality of the clothing is superb; fine department stores such as Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue carry the line. However, Tea Collection understands that as the busy parent of an energetic little girl, you may prefer to shop online. A visit to their website will show you how easy that is, and how secure. And, the company will reward you with 10% off your first purchase as well as economical shipping rates.

Feel good about putting your little girl into these clothes and accessories. The Tea Collection, you see, supports the Global Fund for Children, a well-established organization that drives the education and empowerment of disadvantaged children worldwide.

In the ’80s, this lyric from a beloved Cyndi Lauper hit became the breakout battle cry of girls young at heart across the nation. Now in the second decade of a new century, girls still wanna have fun — but with more contemporary pop stars. Girls of elementary school age, “tweenies,” and high school students alike will want to check out Easygirlgames.com. All they have to do is register at the site, whose name says it all, to play girl games.

If you sanction your daughter or granddaughter to follow pop icons Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Adam Lambert, or even Justin Bieber, she can do whatever her heart desires to these celebrities — within the bounds of good taste! They’ll create new hairstyles, wardrobes, and makeup for their idols, and much more.

The site features other games that cater to the feminine world of make-believe and growing up. Although too numerous to list here, they include:

Selecting tattoos for online characters,

Viewing candid/posed photos of Lindsay Lohan, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and other well-known celebs,

Joining the swelling ranks and secret worlds of vampires, werewolves, and their love interests,

Baking and cooking online, and

Redecorating their “girl caves” (bedrooms).

There are even kissing games spanning the gamut of puppy love to true love. But wait, there’s more! Kids can enter contests to win substantial money prizes (which you’ll appreciate yourself, if you’re trying to sock away their college tuitions in this economy). Players can even give feedback concerning the games available at http://www.easygirlgames.com/. So, let the games begin!

Renowned fashionista and modern-day glam rocker, Lady Gaga, has attracted the attention of audiences worldwide with her outrageous outfits and sexually-charged performances. While most of her fans are teenagers and young adults, she has no bigger fan than 16-month old Salvatore whose favorite song is Bad Romance. If 20th century American poet William Stafford is correct that kids “dance before they learn there is anything that isn’t music,” then young Sal is a perfect example – as the video below demonstrates.

From 1952 to 1970, millions of American households tuned in to Art Linkletter’s “House Party” on weekday afternoon. One segment of each show consisted of Linkletter interviewing children (of whom it is estimated that he interviewed more than 20,000). The answers offered by the children interviewed – sometimes embarrassing, often funny, and always brutally honest – led to a series of books entitled “Kids Say the Darndest Things.”

And so, in the same vein as the answers provided by those children of almost a half century or more ago are the following questions and responses I discovered in my email recently.

How do you decide who to marry?

You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming.
- Alan, age 10

No person really decides before they grow up who they’re going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you’re stuck with.
- Kristen, age 10

What is the right age to get married?

Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then.
- Camille, age 10

No age is good to get married at. You got to be a fool to get married.
- Freddie, age 6 (very wise for his age)

How can a stranger tell if two people are married?

You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids. (what logic, future MIT student)
- Derrick, age 8

What do you think your mom and dad have in common?

Both don’t want any more kids.
- Lori, age 8

What do most people do on a date?

Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.
- Lynnette, age 8 (isn’t she a treasure)

On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date.
- Martin, age 10 (Who said boys do not have brains)

What would you do on a first date that was turning sour?

I’d run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the newspapers and make sure they wrote about me in all the dead columns.
- Craig, age 9

When is it okay to kiss someone?

When they’re rich.
- Pam, age 7 (I could not have said it better myself)

The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn’t want to mess with that.
- Curt, age 7 (Good Point)

The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It’s the right thing to do.
- Howard, age 8 (Who made the rule?)

Is it better to be single or married?

It’s better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them.
- Anita, age 9 (bless you child)

How would the world be different if people didn’t get married?

There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn’t there?
- Kelvin, age 8

And the #1 Favourite is…

How would you make a marriage work?

I’ve recently made up a song about Earth Day. The song is sung to the tune of the freecreditreport.com commercial. I wrote this song because Earth Day is my birthday!

The song is as follows:

T-R-E-E that spells tree,
if you save the planet you’re the bomb baby!
Papers cans and bottles too,
I’m gonna save the planet and so should you.
Going green yeah that’s the way,
April 22nd is Earth Day!
T-R-E-E that spells tree,
if you save the planet you’re the bomb baby!
