The Big Time

So, Knox Interiors is on its way to the big time. Not really, but we’re getting there. I’m renovating an old millhouse to use as an interior design studio in the heart of downtown Austin and have many a project in my path. After signing the lease, setting up the basics, calling TexasElectricityProviders and water companies, and ripping up the old hardwoods, we installed wide-plank antique flooring (in much better condition than the old), re-vamped the walls, and pretty much built this baby from the inside out. Now, we’re just 20 days away from the grand opening and are crossing our fingers that all last-minute details fall into place before the big day. I feel like I’m getting ready to send my baby off to Kindergarten. We have more inventory that I know what to do with, a custom design lounge for customers to receive expert design advice, style boards to inspire customers and clients, and one very large gold chandelier greeting them at the front door. I say we’re bound for success. Come see us!

What a brilliant idea. I have an ancient outhouse on my property that dates back to colonial times. Although it is outdated it is still usable. Maybe by converting it into an adornment instead an eyesore, with proper fumigation and hardwood floors I can restore the past for adventurers who would care to sit where George Washington sat planning the attack on Trenton that led to that fascinating picture of Ctossing the Delaware, which would adorn the walls of my new Depository
