You would have thought that following Anthony Weiner’s resignation over the sexting scandal – in which he inadvertently tweeted lewd pictures of himself on his Twitter account – the age of stupidity among public figures would have ended.  And, if you thought that, you’d be wrong, dead wrong!

Proving that there are no intelligence requirements to hold public office is New Jersey’s own Louis Magazzu.  Magazzu was, until very, very recently, a Cumberland County Freeholder and Chair of the County’s Department of Public Safety.  A former municipal solicitor and prosecutor, the 53-year old Magazzu has been under the scrutiny of a group aptly named “Magazzu Watch.”

Their website describes the group as “a non-partisan political watchdog group focused on tracking and reporting the abuses of power practiced by the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders.”  The group alleges that Magazzu “plays hard-fisted politics and takes no prisoners” and that “that would be okay except for the fact that his campaign contributors and supporters seem to receive special privileges.”

Recently, the site has secured and published what appear to be nude photos of Magazzu standing naked in front of a mirror photographing himself.  These photos are purported to have been sent via email by Magazzu to a woman with whom he was having an online relationship.
