VVTec: The Future of RC Racing

Posted on 21 May 2010

Don your crash helmet. Check your rear view.  Rev the engine under the hood of that sleek purring jewel.  The flag goes down, the crowd roars, adrenaline shoots through your veins at light speed as you take that first turn, your peripheral vision a rush of bleeding, screaming color.  If you’ve ever wanted to experience the thrills of a NASCAR or other racecar driver, your fantasies are now realities.  VVTec Racing puts you in the driver’s seat, or the next best thing.  With its line of precision engineered, state-of-the-art on road and off road remote control (RC) vehicles, you can tear up the track competing with friends or other RC aficionados.

Designed, engineered, and manufactured by a skilled and dedicated staff to 1/5th to 1/8th the size of their life-sized counterparts, you can choose gas-powered off road, gas powered on road, or nitro-powered off road cars or trucks, including 4-wheel drives, that best fit your competitive streak.  Indulge that streak, because the company’s prices are extremely affordable.  You can accessorize the vehicles to your liking, and purchase performance parts as needed, all from VVTecracing.com.  If you prefer to transact a face-to-face purchase, you’ll find a list of dealers on the company’s website.  Fully confident in the quality of their products, the manufacturer protects your purchase with a warranty.

Produced in Canada to the most exacting standards, VVTec’s Best in Class vehicles include the Thunderbolt® 1.0 4WD Sand Gas RC.  Crafted of high stress metal that holds up after repeated poundings, with a spoiler that cuts drag on the most unforgiving of terrains, this rugged, high power 28cc gas engine desert buggy is electric blue.  It’s licked all over with your choice of red or yellow-orange flames to warn the competition that your rod is hot!  If you’re in the market for something a bit stealthier, there’s the Ford Mustang® GT Drift 1.0. Cherry red with double white racing stripes shooting down the hood and roof, this baby is ready to burn rubber at your command, and its fully integrated rear wheel drive system will back you up on that.

If you’re going loaded for bear, there is Big Foot®, the F-150 2WD, officially licensed by the Ford Motor Company.  As its name suggests, this is a big-un, not for the faint at heart.  Midnight black, it comes with Ford-approved decals that let the competition know you are hell on wheels.

There’s a lot more to see at the VVTecracing.com site.  Have a look and set that road warrior in your heart free.

    Probably one of the most enjoyable experiences with this RC car was actually building the car. It comes on plastic rungs just like any other plastic toy model kit and is simple and easy to construct. I may warn you that the instruction booklet is mostly in Japanese, but there is enough English text in the booklet for any novice to finish the kit and parts are easily identifiable and marked. The screws may seem confusing at first, because they are tiny enough to look almost the same size, but you will get used to each and learn which screw can be used for each socket. The car does require a couple of items to complete:
    A 2 channel radio w/ reciever and servo
    7.2 cell battery w/ charger
    Exacto knife, plastic cement, jewel screw driver, philips screwdriver, pliers, scissors
    Spray paint (color of your choice)

    Completion took about a week, but could probably be done in a day with experience. It was amazing to watch this car come to life and is rewarding to know that you have created something so beautiful.

    The drifting is superb, reaction time is split second, and the quality of the kit is top notch. I would recommend this kit for anyone ever interested in having a true RC car that can really DRIFT.
    A+++
