May 21, 2011: Judgment Day!

Posted on 24 May 2010

Judgment Day will occur one year from this past Friday on Saturday May 21, 2011. Most people have been falsely told that no one can know when Christ returns…this is not true; the Bible clearly says that true Christians WILL know in advance the time when Christ returns

In I Thessalonians 5:1 we read “But of the times and seasons brethren, ye have no need that I write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the Day of the LORD so cometh as a Thief in the Night.  For when they shall say ‘Peace and safety;’ then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye brethren, are not in darkness, that that Day should overtake you as a Thief.  Ye are all the children of the Light, and the children of the day; We are not of the night; not of the darkness…”

Further, in Revelation 3:3 the Bible says “…If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a Thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.”  [see Revelation 16:15].   The Bible describes these who “WATCH” in 30 passages [a comprehensive listing is available upon request].

Some claim even Jesus doesn’t know the timing of Judgment Day – this is a very serious claim as ALL the Bible from its very first verse to the last is written to show that Jesus is God Almighty, Jesus said of the Scriptures “…these are they that testify of Me…” and He said clearly in John 3:13 that “He was in Heaven while on earth,” and Jesus said “he that hath seen Me hath seen the father…” and Jesus is called “the Everlasting father…” in Isaiah 9:6. There are literally hundreds of verses like this. Those who want to claim that Jesus is something less than God, are in deep, deep trouble. Much more can be said of this very dark claim; but please remember if you are resting in Mark 13:32, that several are called “son” in Scripture. In that verse “the son” refers to Satan, who is called the “son of wickedness” (Psalm 89:22) and the “son of perdition” (John 17:22, 2 Thessalonians 2:3).

There are several verses about knowing the timing of the End, just like these above, in Hebrews 10:25, Matthew 24:36 AND 37, Matthew 24:43ff, etc. Jesus gives examples of His return in Luke 17 of Noah and the Flood and of Lot at Sodom and Gomorrah. In both cases they had advance warning of those horrible judgments. In fact, in ALL, every single one, of God’s fierce Judgments in the Bible, God gave ADVANCE warning of the timing: Noah [120 years, then a 2nd warning at 7 days], Moses and Aaron [the 10 Plagues of the Exodus], Moses and the killing of the 14,950 Jewish Temple servants by fire and quake in Numbers 15 & 16, Joshua and Jericho [the 2 million Jews circled 13 times in 7 days], Jonah and Ninevah [40 days]….according to clear Scriptures.

How can you specifically know that the Day of Judgment will begin Saturday May 21, 2011 and end 5 months later on October 21, 2011?  The Bible, beginning in Genesis 5 and 11, and continued later, has a “calendar” of all 13,023 years of the existence of the Universe….precise, without gaps…showing that the resurrection of the Saints, the “Rapture,” will be on Saturday May 21, 2011, and the destruction of the Universe by fire follows shortly thereafter [details from the Bible available upon request].

Further, the Bible shows that the Flood was in 4990 BC [Genesis 5], and it will be 7,000 years ago, to the day, next May 21, 2011 [subtract one – there is no year “0”]…further, the Bible shows clearly that Jacob was born in 2007 BC [Jacob’s name was changed to “Israel”] and then 1,000 years later, in 1007 BC, David was crowned King of Israel [Jews, worldwide, celebrated this 3,000th anniversary in AD 1994 (a Jubilee year)].

My wife and I were invited to Jerusalem to also celebrate…how sad that Christians seemed unaware of something so obvious; the Bible shows that Jesus was born in 7 BC, just before wicked King Herod’s death (exactly 1,000 years after David’s Coronation).

Israel as a nation (Christ’s earthly, visible kingdom) lasted about 2,000 years, and the Church, Christ’s 2nd earthly kingdom, also lasted about 2,000 years – and, like the nation of Israel has been [spiritually] destroyed as promised [I Peter 4:17, Jeremiah 23:20, 30:24, Ezekiel  9, Matthew 24:16 ff, Mark 13:14 ff, Luke 21:20 ff].

The Bible shows that Creation to the Flood was 6,023 years [Genesis 5], and the Flood to Calvary was 5,023 years, according to a series of Scriptures, and Creation to Judgment Day on Saturday, May 21, 2011 is 13,023 years precisely. Those extra 23 years are the exact time of the “Great Tribulation,” and the number “23” is used throughout Scripture to denote “judgment” [Daniel 8:14, I Corinthians 10:8, etc.].

The 70 “weeks” of Daniel 9 point to May 21, 2011; and so do the 7-year (84 months) “Great Tribulation” of Jacob, the 70-year (840 months) “Great Tribulation” of Israel/Judah of Daniel 9:2 [etc.], and the 23-year (8,400 days) “Great Tribulation” of our day.  All these time references give precision to understanding the timing of the Day of Judgment on Saturday May 21st 2011.

These are just a few of dozens of Bible “time paths” to the Rapture of the elect on Saturday, May 21st 2011 – one year from last Friday. This date cannot be changed, held back, or wished away. It will be the day of Christ’s return in fiery judgment. All approximately 7 billion living on that Day, including me, will be held to account – even for every “idle word” we have spoken [Matthew 12:36] – a fearful thing.

The Bible predicts that “scoffers” will arise, and they surely have, but they have no Biblical basis to disprove any of this which has been carefully obtained from Scripture [II Peter 3:3-15].  By God’s grace, people all over the world have become aware of Judgment Day next year. In Daniel 12, God says twice that it will be at the time of the End [now] that He will open up an understanding of the End.

There are many “signs of the times” that Jesus alluded to in Matthew 16:3 and other verses from this very time in history [upon request I will send you 50 that refer specifically to this time].

All of this is why some of the greatest, most faithful Bible teachers, especially of the last 500 years, taught that God’s people will know the timing of the End. Yes, kooks and cultists have set false dates for Christ’s Second Coming (generally by reasoning outside of the Bible), but many wise and godly men have realized that there is nothing in Scripture to preclude God’s people from knowing the time of the coming Judgment and that the Bible contains the date of the End.

If we fear this Judgment Day in just short of one year, what should we do?  I urge you to read the small Book of Jonah and see what the King and his kingdom did when told of the coming of Judgment Day…they “cried mightily to God,” and He heard.

The very saddest part of Judgment Day is that God has promised to send a “strong delusion” to professing Christians regarding that day [II Thessalonians 2:11], and Jesus warned that many will come to May 21, 2011 and be shocked to find they really weren’t real Christians after all.  They will go into eternal damnation along with the rest of the unsaved (see Matthew 7: 21-23, and Matthew 25:1-12).

May God choose to let His Mercy and Grace fall on you and your loved ones, and on me and mine.  You can discover all the Bible says about the End at, or at

I’d like to thank Tom Holt for sending me this article providing detailed information on a subject about which I had previously written in my article “Countdown to Judgment” ( I hope that Tom will provide future contributions on this topic or any others on which he feels so moved. Time will surely have an end and, as we await its coming, we can all thank Tom and the other voices “calling in the desert, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.'”

You Camping followers are gonna be real disappointed when May 21, 2011 comes and goes without the suffering of billions.

I’ll be back to watch you apologists for Harold squirm and spin and twist and try to explain away your cult leader’s failure on May 22.

  6. james says:

    One fantastic article.

  7. USABorn says:

Harold Camping also preaches that Satan is now the head of all Churches (Body of Christ), except for his. His followers are the elect and the saints. He teaches there was no remission of sin at the cross since Jesus died before the world was created. Those who would be saved were chosen then. The cross was a mere demonstration. Only those who follow Camping are saved.
He also preaches that the church (His Church) has replaced the Jews and Israel. The temple really means the church and the Jews are his followere.
I’ve only recently heard of Camping. I don’t know all of his teachings. What I have seen so far is that he is a false prophet. He teaches only his followers are the elect and saints. All others who go to Church are of satan.
Matt 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

  8. james says:

    Hello USABorn,

Some of your verses like Mark 13:32 are explained in the article above.

    When, Matthew 24:36

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

To explain that no man does not refer to all men, let’s look at:

    1 Corinthians 15:22
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

In this verse the word all denotes two different groups of people, the first is the entire human family, the second are those that are in Christ (the elect, the saved).

So in Mathew 24:36 the “no man” is similar to I Corinthians 15:22 all. The saved are not in the no man, you will find them in Christ and the Father as per Jesus’ prayer.

    John 17:21

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

    Hope this helps.

Test and esteem those that labor IN THE WORD, ONLY those that teach from THE WHOLE BIBLE, the time will come , if what they have found IN the BIBLE has come and gone.. and that’s how you’ll know if they were correct. Regardless of what Harold Camping is saying, he has brought me to not trust anyone anymore, but to Stay in the Word, trusting THAT every Word in the Original Hebrew is from the mouth of God, to EACH of us, to learn how to live, and not die! How can I go wrong there eh.. love to all!

  10. Alex says:

Exactly how did you came up these precise dates? Not even biblical archeologists know this.

  11. james says:

    Hello Alex,

Two good sources of defining these dates from the Bible are, and

The fact is God sealed this information, in the book of Daniel, in this verse:

    Daniel 12:4 (King James Version)

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Now that we happen to be at the time of the end, the seals were remove in the book of Revelation 5, 6, 7, and 8.

The short answer is God is warning everyone, some will believe, any most will not, but God is sounding the trumpet before the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

  12. james says:

    Hello Alex,

I deeply apolgize for the typo above.

    It should be

  13. May 21, 2011 Judgment Day! comes only out of the Bible alone and not from the mind of any man. Harold Camping of Family Radio is a spokesman for many who have been studying this information for many years now, each sharing, forwarding their findings to each other and to the world via many media types. Harold Camping has produced multiple free books and materials outlining these observations for all the world to critique and understand. The Biblical timeline of history revealed by God through the Bible, shows without any doubt that the Bible has been miraculously breathed directly from the mouth of God as he declared in 2Peter 1:21, and that all of time has been predetermined by His sovereign will Ecc 3:1. The proofs observed regarding the Biblical timeline of history declare it’s complete accuracy, that indeed God is behind this information and that May 21, 2011 is authentic. Information regarding this information can be obtained from multiple websites:,,, graphical observations at

  14. MIke says:

The most comprehensive teachings of the Bible which teach that May 21, 2011 will be judgment day and the rapture, and October 21, 2011 is the end of the world.

  15. Chas says:

You have taken 1 Thessalonians 5:4 out of context and have tried to make it contradict Matthew 24:36. This is a serious error. The context of the Thessalonian passage is BEING PREPARED and has no reference to knowing days and hours! READ IT! The saints, the ELECT, are watchful not knowing the day or the hour for Jesus has reserved that knowledge unto divinity and not granted it to flesh!! Why? Because men would think it expedient to sin until that final moment and then repent. You are misleading people and I guarantee that your prediction will fail! Then you will be seen to be a false prophet (Deuteronomy 18;20-22)!!! Mark these words carefully for they will come back to haunt you.

  16. james says:

    Hello Chas,

Your concern is quite genuine. But the Bible is God’s Word, and it’s the Glory of God to conceal a matter. In this verse:

    Daniel 12:4 (King James Version)

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

God seal the last day message, until the last days.

Now when you see the abomination of desolation in the holy place, where it ought not be, we are to flee Judea.

Now only God can save anyone, and He saved Noah from the flood, and Lot from fire and brimstone, and many of us from the final judgement. But God will do nothing without… well let me give the verse:

    Amos 3:7

7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

This is not a battle of wits, just very comfortable with this teaching.

  17. Jack S. Fogbound says:

This subject is like old man river it goes on and on but what does this have to do with Global Warming?

  18. Dave says:

I have this following problem to understand the math of this end time scenario. The same problem came up in 2000, when some folks tried to claim that the year 2000 was not really the year 2000. They used the same rationale, that there is no year 0. This does not make sense to me. There is a year 0 in the modern timeline of history, however it was never listed there, because the time of creation was left for speculation.

If you happen to see timeline that puts a 0 in between 1BC and 1AD it is incorrect. The original concept does not allow it.
“The calendar era to which they refer is based on the traditionally reckoned year of the conception or birth of Jesus, with AD denoting years after the start of this epoch, and BC denoting years before the start of this epoch. There is no year zero in this scheme, so the year AD 1 immediately follows the year 1 BC. This dating system was devised in AD 525, but was not widely used until after AD 800.”

The obvious fact to me is the the modern timeline of history allows a year 0 at the creation of the world. When you look at the timeline of history you will see that it counts backward from some previously speculated date to 1BC, then just one year later there is 1AD. The space in between them is just one year. So I cannot justify subtracting 1 year from the timeline to fit the calculation.

If I use the numbers of this article, and count the years as they logically appear on the real timeline, I get a boondoggle because it adds up to 13024 years from creation to 2011.

    Year 0 to Flood at 4990BC = 6023 years
Flood to the End of BC era at New Year’s day of 1AD = 4990 years
End AD era at May 21, 2011 = 2011 years
    Total years = 6023 + 4990 + 2011 = 13024

So I have this problem accepting the calculations when I consider the linear passage of time. To put it bluntly, if the world is intended to last for 13023 years from the moment of creation to the day of the rapture, the end should occur this year.

Can someone help me understand this a little better?

NOTE: To make it more confusing, I guess the list above has to assume that the real New Years day should be exactly 13023 years backward from May 11, not January 1 as we normally celebrate.

  19. james says:

    Hello Dave,

There are several informative timelines in the link attached, including one which starts at the beginning and continues 13023 years.

There is a few other such tools, if you are interested I will post them.

  20. james says:

    Hello Dave,

    The attachment:

  21. Dave says:

Well, I tried to look through the link. Honestly, it is really really confusing. With all the charts and little multiplication examples it pretty much looks like a bunch of chicken scratch, because I don’t know what the equations are intended to represent. And the colors actually made me feel a little dizzy.

It is not an easy web page to read.

    Thanks for helping though.

While I wondered about the addition I kept hearing my 5th grade teacher shouting “there is no year zero” and thought of her breaking the chalk on the board while she tried to teach us about that time line math. So, I realized that my head is just as hard as ever when it comes to understanding how to count time and the like.

Could you fill in the Month and #s of the chart below for me so I can have a “true north” sort of time space reference?

    Creation Day, Year 0 = Month #, #####BC

    # days until Jan 1, 1AD

    # days until May 21, 2011

Thanks again if you can help.

  22. james says:

    Hello Dave,

Went on line to find another site which provided answers to your question.

1BC is a grand total from year one of 11012 years
1AD is a grand total from year on of 11013 years
May 21, 2011 is in the 13023rd year

The data in this site is overwhelming, and I only reviewed the critical numbers I was familiar with.

Also all of the formulas were an observation, when you multiple the numbers they total the number of years between Biblical events. The numbers are words in the Bible, therefore they have meaning. The meaning to these words are also available on these sites, or I will assist you in finding them. When we look at the meaning of the words combined with the events in view, we see the hand of God.

  23. donald says:

    regarding the so-called “year zero”

an easy way to think about this is when someone is born, there is no year zero because your day of birth starts off your first year which is celebrated on your birthday one year after your day of birth.

    really, it’s not so difficult.

So let’s put some real numbers to it: I offer to pay a fair option premium on your hard assets today for delivery May 23rd, 2011. You can have full use of your car, home, boat etc.(just pay insurance until then) up to this date when I will take possession. You will have extra cash while you prepare for the rapture and still enjoy your wordly goods which will be pretty worthless anyway post May 21. Show me an offer by responding on this blog and I will get in touch to agree on the price and set up/execute the legal docs. Theoretically the option price should be a function of how convinced you are of the rapture taking place – if you are 100% convinced, the price of the option should be relatiovely low since there is no value on your asstes post May 21, 2011. Let’s get started, show me the offers, put your money where your mouth is!!

  27. james says:

    Hello Optimist521,

Sorry to disappoint you, but we are instucted to occupy until our Lord returns.

Another way to understand this, would be to look at a soldier, who knows when he is going to be relieved of duty, would he have the right to sell his weapon and canteen. This would be wrong because it does not belong to him.

And last but not least, many person who mistakenly prepared for the return of the Lord in the past, would in many cases have sold their possessions or incurred large debt, well they made several errors did they not.

  28. Wake-up says:

    Hi james,

    well said.

  29. Dave says:

I finally got it. I was convince there was a problem because I put 0 on the far end of 11013. When you claim to know the beginning from the end, then year 0 is the same a 11013BC

For clarity I thought it should be like this:
    0 … 11013 … 1BC . 1AD
But that only works if you do not claim to know the original year.

So Jan 1, 11013BC is the same as January 1, 0 if the timeline were to start at 0 and go on linearly.

Thanks for the input. It took me this long to get this much. I don’t know what I am going to do with the rest of the time stuff.

This idea is also reflected at the start of the calendar in the site. (Found it at the beginning of the calendar, finally.)

The pablo page made a distinction though by starting the actual reckoning of time from the day adam sinned, rather than from the day of creation. So I have the concept, and see where I was wrong about year 0, but I am still a little confused about when the real Jan 1, 0 would be. Pablo does not think there is a reason to count time from creation to the fall.

I found if interesting that Pablo got the same time line backward to 11013BC for the beginning of time, but also turns out to be against the message of Family Radio followers because they are following the doctrine \annihilation\.

this is an interesting proposition that you have made, but it would be deceitful for anyone that truly believes may 21 is the end to accept your offer since all things of this world will have a value of zero on May 22.

    am i correct?

also we would never want anyone to look forward to may 22, hoping that may 21 is not the end.

    does that make sense?

It makes very good sense to me.

    Daniel 12:
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

  35. Brandon says:

You wrote, “The Bible shows that Creation to the Flood was 6,023 years [Genesis 5] …” What Bible are you reading? If you add up the years in Genesis 5, they give 1656 years between creation and the flood. You also said, “Bible shows that the Flood was in 4990 BC …” This is completely false. There’s debate about when Abraham lived, but scholarly opinions, derived from the Bible, range between the mid-1800’s and the mid-2100’s BC. No sooner. And from the genealogies in Genesis chapter 11, we find that there was only 392 years between Abraham and the flood, putting the flood no earlier than the mid-2500’s BC. Your entire chronology is off by over 2000 years!

  36. james says:

    Hello Brandon,

I will give you a link which goes from day one forward.

Also the key to the timeline, is when a son is named in a geneology it is the immediate son. However when the bible says, such and such begat, then the death year of such and such is the birth year of a great, or great great great grand son. Calendar.htm

    Hello Brandon,

I’ll try the link again, it is a Bible Calendar.

  38. Robert Landbeck says:

If such an event ever does take place in our lifetimes, the ‘Apocalypse’ that the religious promise will rain down on the rest of us is much more likely to land on their own heads first, hard and heavy!

Christian history is all theological. A human construct and unlikely to have anything to do with God. No more than the intellectual pretensions, vain imagination and folly.

The bottom line is that if a second coming should take place in any form, what must be among the first priorities for such personage is to expose those whose claims are no better than dust. And to do so, such a person would have to ‘reveal’ a message at odds with all existing orthodoxy? Rapture could quickly turn to nightmare!

And blow two thousand years of religious status quo right out of the water. From Rome to Mr. Camping and everything in between. That long over due revolution may have already started?
    Check out—–what-i-by-R-A-Landbeck-110105-188.html

  39. james says:

    Hello Robert Landbeck,

God is preparing His entrance. Most people will not believe it. God though is giving fair warning. You know the date, you just do not believe it.

When the date arrives very few will not be aware of what just happened!

  40. Fred says:

Churches never mention these verses that state the believers will know more than the unbeliervers like when christ will return, ask your minister what these verses mean! I am sure that he will not have an answer.

    1 Thessalonians 5:
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

  41. james says:

    Hello Fred,

God is telling us in His Word that when we see the day approaching, we should flee Judea (the church), and Revelatoins 18:4 says to get out of her (the church) my people.

And this verse will be misinterpreted by the church, it is not there fault for not knowing what God conceal until the end, however True Worshippers are watching in His Word and do see.

This verse is quite telling; Hebrews 10:25

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

There are Greek words which mean congregation, but the word in this verse “ourselves” is just that, one on one with God. The end of this verse says “as ye see the day approaching”, we see it and left the church, and found our responsibility to warn the world.

A question for those of you who believe that the 21st of May 2011 is going to be the end, or at least the rapture.

Would you think Harold Camping is a false teacher?

This is an honest question, I am really curious to know what you would think.

    Hi Mark-

There are many who understand these truths by God’s mercy. Mr. Camping is one of these individuals who happens to be blessed by being able to proclaim it to a large audience. He has been studying the Bible for many decades prayerfully – remember Faith comes by hearing and hearing from the Word of God.

To address your question you might as well be asking if I believe the Word of God is written by man or is God Breathed. The trumpet is sounding loud and clear, the seals have been removed. Please lets not focus on man but like Bereans check God’s Word to see if these these things are so.

    God Bless

May God have mercy on all of us.

    Hello Mark,

Your question is sincere, and my answer is as well. Since I have been fond of Mr. Camping for a long time, not much could ever change that. As far as beyond May 21, 2011, I have no plans or thoughts at all.

Also Chris’s respond was very good as well.
